HOW TO GET THERE
The race will take place in the Aysén Region where the main city is Coyhaique. Coyhaique will be the base for all activities and for that reason that’s the place to stay for every participating athlete. Due to its southern location, the only way to get there is by plane.
The nearest airport is located in Balmaceda and there is where you should fly to. Balmaceda airport code is (BBA) so you can make sure you are booking your flight to the right destination.
For athletes coming from outside of Chile they should first fly to Santiago (SCL - Arturo Merito Benitez/Nuevo Pudahel Airport) and then connect to Balmaceda (BBA). That’s a 2h20minutes flight.
These are the airlines that fly from Santiago (SCL) to Balmaceda (BBA):
Full travel packages will also be offered. Packages will include lodging, transportation, bike mechanics and different food plans according to every athlete’s need. Packages will be divided into 6 different price points, starting from a basic camping option, rustic and boutique hotels and all the way up to the official race hotel.
