WHY TO OPEN A NEW LOTTERY?

Patagonman is about experience, community, and connections. Based on these values, the organization feels that this is an important time to support the region of Aysen.

TRIAYSEN, the first triathlon club in Aysén was born under Patagonman’s wing and its founder, John Medina, is a 3x Finisher of our race.

Aysén has the highest suicide rates in Chile, with a worrying upward trend in recent years. Contributing factors include isolation, lack of job and educational opportunities, and limited access to mental health services. This is why the organization, has decided to take action and support TriAysen in this way. Sport is one of the best ways to tackle this problem, as it helps release endorphins, promotes social integration, increases self-esteem, and reduces stress, thus reducing symptoms of depression and anxiety.

For 3 weeks, Patagonman lottery will be open for any athlete from anywhere in the world to buy a ticket. All funds raised during these 3 weeks will go directly TriAysén club.

It is important to highlight that those who registered in the first lottery at the beginning of the year and were not selected for the race will be automatically entered into this new lottery and will compete for one of the 20 additional spots.
After four excellent editions since 2018, PATAGONMAN has grown to become one of the most relevant triathlons worldwide, given the beautiful experiences that both amateur and professional athletes have had. The event returns for its fifth edition this 2024 to summon athletes from all over the world who have the spirit of challenging their limits in the indomitable region of southern Chile.
